I wanted to share some resources that I use on a daily basis to live my own best life. I find that they keep me grounded and focused on living a self-sustaining and simplistic lifestyle that allows room for mental, physical, and spiritual growth. As I come across other meaningful resources, I will be adding them to this page, so check back often for more inspiration.

Entertainment

Gaia Streaming Channel – I stream this channel for 80% of my “TV watching.” There’s just a wealth of topics and an endless stream of self-improvement and exercise. I’ve come to a place where most TV shows aren’t worth my time because they’re not helping me to live my best life. I do watch movies and sports with my family. I’m also a big fan of the weather channel when a storm is brewing. Very rarely will you ever see me watching the news because of the negativity.

Leadership and Self Improvement

Bible and Torah – As I grow and redefine my relationship with religion and spirituality, I continue to hold a strong spiritual belief while using these as a guide for my life.

Dr. Joe Dispenza’s work – His work bridges the gaps between science and the heart, soul, and mind. It is great stuff! I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to change the way they think and feel.

Carolyn Myss – Her work is pretty deep and brings light to many dynamics of our inner world.

Gary Chapman and Ross Campbell The 5 Love Languages collection. This is a very helpful tool to help define our own emotions and love language, so we can apply that knowledge to relationships with others.

Gardening

Complete Guide to Country Living – I value this book as a “go to” for anything on a farm or an urban homestead because it is a great wealth of knowledge.

Southern Living Garden Book – This book has been so helpful to me. I moved to a region of the US that was completely opposite from where I was living, so it was crucial in learning about new plants.

Mother Earth News – This resource has been around since before I was born. Therefore, they have accumulated a wealth of knowledge to reference.

HomePower – I discovered this magazine about 20 years ago with inventive ideas about simplistic, inventive, and off the grid living ideas to power your homes for less and in more environmental ways.

Health & Nutrition

The Raw Truth –  Jeremy Safron makes embracing the raw side of life simple by sharing great recipes that are both delicious and healthy.

The Oh She Glows Cookbook –Angela Liddon uses great pictures to spotlight Vegan recipes with easy attainable ingredients.

The Digestive Process and The Role of Water In Digestive Health – Steven L. Sedlmayr takes readers on a deep dive into why water us so essential to life.

12 Steps to Raw Foods –Victoria Boutenko is a great tour guide when it comes to adopting a raw food lifestyle. This resource was crucial during my first introduction to raw foods. I find myself going back to it time and time again.
